Refund Policy & Regional Consumer Rights

1. Try Before You Buy (Free Game Mode & 14-Day Compatibility Trial)

Because Windows software compatibility depends on the specific application, version, and workflow, Exevery provides two risk-free ways to verify your software on your Apple Silicon Mac before paying anything:

• Permanently Free Direct / Game Mode (host-metal-v1): Free forever ($0) with no account or payment method required.
• 14-Day Compatibility Mode Free Trial (vm-guest-v2): Starts only on your first Compatibility Mode action (verified by server time via POST /v1/trials) and requires no credit card or account registration.

2. 14-Day Refund Window & Regional Statutory Consumer Rights

We offer a straightforward 14-day refund policy on Compatibility Mode purchases. In addition, nothing in this Refund Policy waives, restricts, or overrides mandatory statutory consumer cancellation, withdrawal, or refund rights under the laws of your country or region (including EU/EEA and UK consumer protection laws, South Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Japan, Australia, and other jurisdictions). We do not enforce a blanket forfeiture of statutory consumer rights merely because a digital download was initiated.

3. How to Request a Refund via Paddle Billing

All paid Compatibility Mode license orders ($29 launch offer / $49 regular license one-time payment) are processed by Paddle as our Merchant of Record:

• To request a refund, email support@exevery.app with your purchase email address, Paddle Transaction ID (txn_...), or license key hint, or contact Paddle Buyer Support via the link in your email receipt.
• Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method by Paddle Billing in accordance with Paddle's processing timelines.

4. Effect of Refunds & Chargebacks on Licenses, Offline Cache & Local Data

• Server Entitlement Synchronization: When Paddle notifies api.exevery.app of a completed refund or chargeback via a signature-verified webhook (POST /v1/webhooks/paddle), the license status in D1 is updated to refunded or revoked and active device slots are deactivated.
• Offline Entitlement Cache Expiration: Any locally cached SignedEntitlementEnvelope on previously activated Macs will cease allowing Compatibility Mode upon the next online entitlement check or no later than the end of the 7-day offline grace window.
• Guaranteed Preservation of Local User Data (preserve_installed_data: true): A refund, adjustment, or license revocation never deletes or locks your locally installed Windows applications, bottles, game saves, or user files on your Mac. Free Game Mode (host-metal-v1) also remains available.
